    You left those tires on way too long. Checking like that is just dangerous. Change out those steer tires at 7 or 8 years. And do not forget most truck tires are rated to only 75 mph so all these trucks and RVs doing 85 and more on the interstates are a threat. I also did not see any torque wrenches being used. And, you should have loose wheel nut indicators on all of those wheel nuts.

    I just installed mine and did a trial run before we head home next week. Easy install and worked perfectly. BTW, the discount code didn't work and shipping was extra from mad ramps direct. E-trailer was a better deal for me that included free shipping. Also, I decided to strap the rear wheels. E-trailer was helpful getting me the correct size wheel straps. I also purchased the storage rack. It's also very well designed. Unless you have their storage solution, the ramps are awkward to store. Great solution!! Thanks

    I replaced Michelin tires with Toyo tires on my 32 foot pusher and the steering became Squirrley. I now have a 42 foot with a tag and have Michelin‘s on it that need replacing. I will pay the extra money for the Michelin‘s. They are a great ride, and I don’t want this big rig to get Squirrley.

We aren’t boondockers, but travel with our pets and I need to be assured they are safe and comfortable when we stop for groceries or to eat. I have 6 batteries, and 1200 watts of solar. That will run 1 of my roof ACs for about 5-6 hours. Although it’s nice to run the AC off the inverter, we limit that to short stops to keep our bullmastif cool. I normally run the generator if we need ac through out the night. Mostly because we live down south.

    First of all thank you for your service to our country!! My old man served in Vietnam as well. Thankfully you weren't at highway speeds. Nevertheless you handled that like a master! Well done! I too push it when it comes to tire age. I'll run them for ten years as long as they don't have any obvious signs excessive of wear. However I do keep them covered when not driving, always check my tire pressure before hitting the road, even twice a day on longer voyages. It only takes couple mins to check on something that could cost potentially thousands of dollars if there's a failure. I don't have a TPMS but I've thought about installing one. They really aren't that expensive, especially in the long run.

    Very good video! I've saved it in my wish list on Amazon. I only have a few suggestions: 1) Your affiliate link only took me to the front page of Amazon, not to the product. I was able to scan your transcript and get the term to query, but it didn't come up first in the Amazon search. (You may be losing money because of this...) 2) I love the way, as you said, I'll be able to lower my tire safely by myself. But, what is your plan after getting it down? I could see having wood blocks under the leveling jacks that can be manually deployed to get a bad tire off the ground enough to change a tire. This brings me to what air compressor to buy and air wrench would be required... Do you of anyone else have the answer to this based on your research or experience? If no one has the solution, I'll be researching it and may post it if I find one. (2006 Winnebago Adventurer 38t, 8.1L Vortec, Allison 2100 6-speed, Workhorse W24 with 22.5 tires)

    • @RandomBitsRV
      @RandomBitsRV 2 роки тому

      Sorry for the confusion. We are no longer an Amazon Affiliate. It’s difficult to go back and edit all historic videos. Also, I won’t change the tire myself. I don’t have the room to carry a Jack of that capacity. So I will still have a road service tech change the tire, But at least I will have a tire for him to change. Often times, road techs can’t source the right sized tire.

      @@RandomBitsRV How so? The only trailer restrictions I've found so far pertain to 2 and 3 trailer train hookups. E-Vehicles can't be towed 4 on the floor so a trailer is required (even 2 on the floor won't work).

      I’m sorry. I misunderstood your question. Flat towing the truck with a golf cart in the back is easier than trailering the truck and golf cart. When I arrive at an RV park , there is no room to park a trailer.

    Thank you, I've done my research and this is definitely my solution also. I can load my cart that is lifted and has nerf bars and the wheel wells don't Interfere as the cart isn't to forward in the truck bed. Also if give me room to store other items in the truck bed as I always carry 5-10 gals diesel with me just in case!

    Will this also work for non lifted carts?

      I believe it will, But that’s a question for Mad Ramps. Be advised they were purchased by Blue Ox.

      @@RandomBitsRV I did a little more research and it looks like they sell a golf cart riser kit for lower carts.

    In the middle of renovating a class A to go full time and had no idea this existed pretty much everyone was like you are SOL and have to have someone come out. This just gave me another idea as I already will be carrying a air compressor and impact drill. Thank you

      I honestly won’t change it myself. I will still have a mobile service tech come out. But I will always have a spare tire and wheel on-hand. Thank you for watching. 😊
